SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
Senate Bill 153 appropriates
$6.7 million from the general fund to DOH for the following:
The appropriation of $6.7 million contained in
this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or
unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY03 shall revert to the general
fund.
HB2 currently contains $44,386.5 in general fund
and fund balance to fund the DD Medicaid waiver and reduce the waiting list.
OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES
The San Juan Center for Independence has shown
self-directed services for persons with developmental disabilities to promote
self-determination to be a very effective model of service delivery for persons
with disabilities.
