SUMMARY
Senate Bill 79 appropriates $546.5 to the Board of Regents of New Mexico State University for the purpose of creating a family strengthening partnership parenting education program. The program is designed to improve parenting skills for low-income families in areas of Dona Ana, Luna, Otero, and Sierra counties with high rates of adolescent substance abuse.
The bill carries an emergency clause.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation
of $546.5 contained in this bill is a
recurring expense the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
remaining at the end of FY2003 shall revert to the general fund.
