SUMMARY
The amendment restores the wording in current
law that allows a patient who is covered under SB 10 to appeal to the
Superintendent of Insurance. The appeal must be expedited and resolved within
thirty days. Programs pursuant to Title 19 or Title 21 of the federal Social
Security Act, which have their respective expedited appeal processes, are
exempted out of the above.
