SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Bill 186 appropriates $94.2 from the
general fund to the Fourth Judicial District Attorney to pay for a salary
increase for employees in FY03. HB186
would provide a salary increase for all Fourth Judicial District Attorney’s
office employees, contingent upon job performance.
Significant
Issues
As part of its FY03 budget request, the Fourth
Judicial Attorney requested $94.2 from the general fund to pay for a salary
increase for employees; however, neither the LFC nor the executive recommended
funding the agency’s request.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $94.2 contained in HB 186
is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY03
shall revert to the general fund.
