SUMMARY
Synopsis
of Bill
House Bill 177
appropriates $65.0 from the general fund to DOH to expand the women, infants
and children (WIC) farmers’ market nutrition program.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of
$65.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended
or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY03 shall revert to the
general fund.
DOH’s analysis is
unclear if there are any U.S. Department of Agriculture funds available for
this program in FY03.
