STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Shirley M. Bailey

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PORTALES MUNICIPAL SCHOOL DISTRICT IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to construct a kitchen at the Brown early childhood center in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to replace the lighting at the auditorium at Portales high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to construct a multipurpose facility at Portales high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to replace the sound system at Portales high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to renovate the gymnasium at Portales junior high school in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county.
