STATE OF NEW MEXICO

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ROSWELL IN CHAVES COUNTY.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the department of environment

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to extend a water line to the training center for police and firefighters in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

• to the state highway and transportation department

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to renovate airport runway 3/21, including repainting surface markings and upgrading runway signs, at the airport in Roswell in Chaves county; and

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to make electrical, plumbing and roof repairs to hangar 1083 at the airport in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

 

three hundred forty-five thousand dollars ($345,000) for phase 5 improvements, including installation of bleachers and drinking fountains, at the Cielo Grande sports complex in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for playground equipment for Cahoon, Poe Corn and Stiles parks in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

one hundred fifteen thousand dollars ($115,000) for phase 2 extension of the Hondo River trail in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to make improvements, including resurfacing the pool deck, at Cahoon park swimming pool in Roswell in Chaves county;

 

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to make improvements, including construction of a maintenance building and bleachers with rain shelters, at the Spring River golf course in Roswell in Chaves county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to construct the expansion of the Roswell adult center in Chaves county; and

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to renovate the Yucca recreation center in Roswell in Chaves county; and

 

• to the office of the state engineer

 

one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) for phase 2 improvements, including demolishing and replacing the decaying stone and mortar sidewalls, at Spring river in Roswell in Chaves county.
