SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 317

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

REQUESTED BY Richard C. Martinez

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 5 IN RIO ARRIBA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to acquire property and plan, design, construct or acquire a building for a senior center in Chama in Rio Arriba county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for improvements to county roads in Rio Arriba county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for remodeling the county courthouse in Rio Arriba county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to renovate the basketball court and irrigate the ball fields in Rio Arriba county;

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to plan, design and construct a playground in Lumberton in Rio Arriba county; and

five thousand dollars ($5,000) to equip the district court with a metal detector in Rio Arriba county.
