45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE SIERRA FLOOD DISTRICT IN SIERRA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the office of the state engineer

two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) to purchase computer equipment for the Sierra flood district's office of the flood commissioner in Sierra county;

thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to conduct a flood plain study, including watershed modeling and flood hydrographs, for preliminary levee engineering design of the Animas creek in the Sierra flood district in Sierra county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to repair the Monticello levee in the Sierra flood district in Sierra county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to repair the Trujillo arroyo levee in the Sierra flood district in Arrey in Sierra county;

ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to repair a damaged levee in the Sierra flood district in Chloride in Sierra county; and

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to repair the lower Cuchillo creek levee and channel, including brush, tree and sediment removal, in the Sierra flood district in Sierra county.
