SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 1139

45TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2002

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT HIGHLAND HIGH SCHOOL IN THE ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to install phones in every classroom to improve school safety at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to construct a softball field at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to construct improvements to the patio at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for educational technology at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for a band loading dock at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to make improvements to the track and football field at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000) to construct trophy cases at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to make improvements to the parent drop-off area at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to convert the old softball field into a new softball field at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county; and

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to purchase and install audio-visual equipment to link every classroom at Highland high school in the Albuquerque public school district in Bernalillo county.
