FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SENATE DISTRICT 7.

 

 

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

 

to the state agency on aging

 

eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) to improve the site and equip the kitchen at the senior center in Des Moines in Union county; and

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to plan, design and construct a senior center in Cimarron in Colfax county;

 

• to the department of environment

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to make improvements, including upgrading the filter system and isolating the holding pond, for the Miami water users association in Colfax county;

 

four hundred two thousand dollars ($402,000) for sewer and waterline extensions within village limits to protect water quality in Eagle Nest lake in Eagle Nest in Colfax county;

 

eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) to repair a water storage tank in Clayton in Union county;

 

seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) for water system improvements in Grady in Curry county;

 

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for water and sewer system improvements in Angel Fire in Colfax county;

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for sewer system improvements in Logan in Quay county;

 

eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) for water mains and line improvements for Big Mesa water cooperative in Conchas Dam in San Miguel county;

 

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to replace water and sewer lines in Maxwell in Colfax county;

 

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) to design and construct underground water and sewer infrastructure in Tucumcari in Quay county;

 

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to design and construct improvements at the wastewater treatment plant in Tucumcari in Quay county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for water and wastewater system improvements in Des Moines in Union county; and

 

one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000) to improve the water system in Cleveland in Mora county;

 

• to the state highway and transportation department

 

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for engineering and constructing the expansion of east Seventh street in Clovis in Curry county;

 

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for street improvements in Roy in Harding county;

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for caliche and chip sealing in the Shumate subdivision between county roads 13 and 14 and H and J in Curry county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for road improvements in Conchas Dam in San Miguel county;

 

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for street improvements in Clayton in Union county;

 

eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) to repair a bridge located one-quarter mile east of Maxwell in Colfax county;

 

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to resurface caliche roads in Curry county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for street improvements in Mosquero in Harding county; and

 

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to chip seal county road 6 from K to N in Curry county;

 

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase a fire truck for Quay county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for constructing an emergency medical services building to house the fire department and equipment and the emergency medical services team and ambulance in San Jon in Quay county;

 

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to plan, design and construct an atrium at the convention and community center in Raton in Colfax county;

 

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase the old state highway maintenance yard for soccer fields and a youth center in Eagle Nest in Colfax county;

 

thirty-five thousand four hundred ninety dollars ($35,490) to purchase and install computer technology to make the Schlientz memorial library collection internet-accessible in Tucumcari in Quay county;

 

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to purchase an ambulance in House in Quay county;

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to replace the roof in the sheriff's office and to replace windows in the courthouse in Union county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for a fire department building to store equipment for the Porter volunteer fire department in Quay county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase pickup trucks for the Arch Hurley conservancy district in Tucumcari in Quay county;

 

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to improve the regional food bank facility in Clovis in Curry county;

 

eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) for improvements to the heating system at the courthouse in Harding county;

 

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to construct barns and outlying buildings at the fairgrounds in Curry county;

 

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to purchase additional beds for the juvenile detention center in Curry county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase a fire truck for Maxwell in Colfax county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to acquire property for, design and construct a fire and ambulance facility in Mosquero in Harding county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for improvements to the courthouse in Quay county;

 

ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to purchase and install playground equipment in Springer in Colfax county;

 

ninety-seven thousand six hundred seventy-six dollars ($97,676) to purchase vehicles for the food bank program in Clovis in Curry county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to acquire property for, plan, design and construct a fire department facility for the volunteer fire department in Mosquero in Harding county;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase and install computer technology and equipment for the Quay county government;

 

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to reconstruct the primary care clinic in Quay county;

 

four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) to prepare the ground for, plan and design phase 1 construction of the Mora-Colfax head start facility in Mora county; and

 

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to re-roof the city hall complex in Springer in Colfax county;

 

• to the governing board of Mesa technical college

 

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to develop a campus master plan for Mesa technical college, now known as Mesalands community college, in Tucumcari in Quay county;

 

• to the state department of public education

 

ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) to purchase an activity bus for the Springer municipal school district in Springer in Colfax county;

 

one hundred sixty-four thousand two hundred dollars ($164,200) to furnish and equip the multipurpose community building in the Maxwell municipal school district in Maxwell in Colfax county;

 

twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for improvements to track and field facilities, including site preparation and equipment, in the Grady municipal school district in Curry county;

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for track and field facilities improvements in the House municipal school district in Quay county;

 

two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to renovate an old district building for use as an alternative education center in the Clovis municipal school district in Curry county;

 

three hundred eighty-five thousand dollars ($385,000) to repair the roof at Eagle Nest elementary and middle school in the Cimarron municipal school district in Colfax county;

 

thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) for a math and science laboratory at Raton high school in the Raton public school district in Colfax county; and

 

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for a math and science laboratory at Kearny elementary school in the Raton public school district in Colfax county; and

 

• to the office of the state engineer

 

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to purchase water rights in Eagle Nest in Colfax county.
