MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO TRAIN MINORITY STUDENTS IN RESEARCH, LIBRARY SKILLS AND GENERAL INFORMATION LITERACY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred sixty thousand eight hundred ten dollars ($360,810) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to provide training in research, library skills and general information literacy to minority students. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
