MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN SUPPORT OF ALCOHOL, SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND RELATED MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT IN SANTA FE COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

(1) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for treatment of mental health and co-occurring disorders associated with alcohol and substance abuse in Santa Fe county; and

(2) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to develop a drug and alcohol detoxification facility in Santa Fe county.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
