MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN SUPPORT OF A CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT HEARING OFFICER IN THE THIRTEENTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the thirteenth judicial district for expenditure in fiscal years 2002 and 2003 to contract for a full-time child support enforcement hearing officer in Valencia, Sandoval and Cibola counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
