MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO FUND RESTORATION OF THE DONA ANA COUNTY CLERK'S RECORDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the purpose of restoring and protecting the records in the Dona Ana county clerk's office. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
