AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ELIMINATE THE WAITING LIST FOR NEW MEXICO'S MEDICAID DISABLED AND ELDERLY WAIVER PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the purpose of providing services for all eligible persons, up to the maximum number permitted, under New Mexico's medicaid disabled and elderly waiver program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
