AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR LOW-INCOME PERSONS IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for services and programs for persons not eligible for medicaid or for services not eligible for reimbursement under medicaid, including intensive outpatient programs, school-based services, outpatient clinic services, wrap-around services, mobile crisis team services, early childhood family-based prevention services, crisis stabilization, transitional living, transportation and prevention services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for services and programs for persons not eligible for medicaid or for services not eligible for reimbursement under medicaid, including intensive outpatient programs, outpatient clinic services, wrap-around services, mobile crisis team services, crisis stabilization, transitional living, transportation, prevention services and consumer-driven services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
