MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE PERFORMING ARTS TOURING PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for a statewide performing arts touring program by major performing arts institutions that have shown a significant and consistent history of and commitment to performing arts touring and that have provided performing arts services in two or more counties outside of their home communities during each of the last five years. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund. .140055.1
