MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SERVICE FOR STAFFING OF A SPECIAL INTERIM LEGISLATIVE TAX REVIEW COMMITTEE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to provide staff for a special interim legislative committee to conduct a comprehensive review of New Mexico tax policy during the 2002 interim. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
