MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR EXPANSION OF THE WEATHER MODIFICATION PROJECT TO ADDITIONAL AREAS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the New Mexico department of agriculture to expand the weather modification project to include the southeast sector of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
