AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE HOME MODIFICATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the governor's committee on concerns of the handicapped for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to contract for home modifications for persons with disabilities. Modification projects shall emphasize access and egress and basic assistance with routine living functions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund..139508.1
