AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal years 2002 and 2003 to purchase hazardous materials emergency response equipment for use by emergency response personnel at the Santa Teresa port of entry and vicinity. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
