MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A CHILD CARE AND BEFORE- AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE FACILITY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 to operate a program at a two-year college in Bernalillo county with a primarily Native American student population to provide full-day child care for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as before- and after-school care for students in the primary and elementary grades and to act as a resource center for parents and families. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
