MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND BASIC EMPLOYEE BENEFITS FOR VARIOUS SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM PROVIDERS STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2003 for the purpose of funding basic employee health and retirement benefits to employees of senior citizen program and service providers statewide through the six area agencies on aging. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
