AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO COMPLETE SURVEYS, ASSESSMENTS AND CLEARANCES AND OTHER PRECONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD THROUGH RIO LOBO CANYON TO STANDING ROCK IN MCKINLEY COUNTY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal years 2003 through 2005 to complete environmental assessments, archaeological clearances and other surveys required to begin preconstruction activities for a road through Rio Lobo canyon to Standing Rock in McKinley county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
