ENCOURAGING PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ENTITIES THAT IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RETIREES AND SENIOR CITIZENS THROUGHOUT NEW MEXICO.
WHEREAS, partnerships between public and private entities are working to improve the quality of life for retirees and senior citizens in Roswell and in Chaves county, New Mexico; and
WHEREAS, each entity in the partnership between public and private entities has expertise that helps improve the quality of life for retirees and senior citizens in Roswell and in Chaves county, New Mexico; and
WHEREAS, the partnerships between public and private entities provide expanded opportunities for retired and senior citizens of Roswell and Chaves county, New Mexico to access the information highway; and
WHEREAS, the effort to encourage partnerships between public and private entities is part of a community-wide effort to meet the needs and serve the interests of retirees and senior citizens in Roswell and in Chaves county, New Mexico;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that partnerships be encouraged between public and private entities that improve the quality of life for retirees and senior citizens throughout New Mexico; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the senate encourage the continuation and expansion of partnerships between public and private entities that improve the quality of life for retirees and senior citizens throughout New Mexico; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following partnerships between public and private entities be commended for working together to provide an improved quality of life for citizens of Roswell and Chaves county, New Mexico: eastern New Mexico university at Roswell; Trailnet, Retirement Inn, OIC computer services and Chaves county retired and senior volunteer program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this memorial be transmitted to the president and to board of regent members of eastern New Mexico University at Roswell and to the directors of Trailnet, Retirement Inn, OIC computer services and Chaves county retired and senior volunteer program.
