SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Memorial 37 recognizes the only senator having a close resemblance to a particular mascot for a hamburger chain. It directs that the office of the current senate majority leader be known as the office of 'Tim's Big Boy" as long as he (Senator Timothy Z. Jennings) maintains that position. It also directs the senate chief clerk to prominently display an appropriate mascot to represent that office as long as that senator (Senator Timothy Z. Jennings) occupies that office.
Research reflects that the "mascot" appears to be a "Bob's Big Boy piggy bank" that is to be displayed on the senator's (Senator Timothy Z. Jennings) desk.
PERFORMANCE IMPLICATIONS
This legislation should not affect the performance of the position, person or senate, but the output, outcome, efficiency and quality measures are difficult to determine. Apparently, the mascot is in the process of being "cleaned up" before it is placed on the senator's (Senator Timothy Z. Jennings) desk. The outcome and quality might be determined at a future time.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
There are no known fiscal implications to the state of New Mexico at this time. It is conceivable that, given the mascot is a piggy bank, individuals might be encouraged to donate pocket change to a worthy cause to be determined by the senator (Senator Timothy Z. Jennings).
