Synopsis of SRC Amendment
This amendment changes the seventh whereas clause to read:
WHEREAS, following his ten-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tommy McDonald played for the Cowboys, Rams, Falcons and Browns; and
Synopsis of Original Bill
A memorial honoring Tommy McDonald for his stellar representation of New Mexico during his career in the National Football League (NFL) and that the New Mexico Legislative Council forward to the Capitol Recognition Subcommittee the recommendation that Tommy McDonald be considered for suitable permanent recognition in the Capitol or Capitol North.
Tommy McDonald of Roy, New Mexico is the only New Mexican to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. In addition he is the also the smallest player in the Hall of Fame and his determination and resilience, coupled with his sportsmanship, personify the spirit of New Mexico.
