Senate Joint Memorial 17 requests the legislature to recognize the week of September 17-27, 2001 as New Mexico's Legislators back to school week.
Significant Issues
According to SDE, the State Board of Education supports as a part of its Strategic Plan, the constructive engagement of educational partners in the public schools. The State Board of Education applauds the significant policy roles of the New Mexico Legislature and endorses and encourages each legislator to visit the local classrooms during the week of September 17,2001.
