Synopsis of Bill
SJM 15 requests the State Board of Education (SBE) to study the benefits of smaller schools and methods to reduce school size and to report the findings of that study to the Legislative Education Study Committee (LESC) by November 1, 2001.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
SJM 15 would have no fiscal implications other than those associated with any study. Those costs related to the scope of this work can be absorbed in the SBE and the SDE's budget.
