SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 530 appropriates $500.0 to New Mexico State University (NMSU) for New Mexico Department of Agriculture animal damage control programs.
Significant Issues
According to the New Mexico Department of Agriculture, this appropriation would provide additional funding for animal damage control and would be used to maintain current animal damage control programs in the face of increasing costs.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $500.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY02 shall revert to the general fund.
