SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 297 proposes to amend Section 1-10-10 NMSA 1978 to require that sample ballots be made available at least forty days before an election.
Significant Issues
Currently, statute only requires that sample ballots be made available in reasonable quantities to all interested persons. This bill would require the sample ballots be made available at the same time that absentee ballots are made available.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
There is no appropriation or significant fiscal implication associated with this bill.
