Synopsis of Bill
HB482 appropriates $120.0 from the general fund to DDPC for an ombudsman program for developmentally disabled (DD) individuals.
Significant Issues
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $120.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY02 shall revert to the general fund.
RELATIONSHIP
The House Appropriations and Finance Committee acted on 2/16/01 to add to HB2 $75.0 in general fund to the Department of Health's budget to be transferred to DDPC for an ombudsman program.
TECHNICAL ISSUES
Review federal regulations to assure that no conflict of interest would arise as a result of implementing HB482.
