45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF SOCORRO IN SOCORRO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state highway and transportation department

seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) for design of the reconstruction of High School road in Socorro in Socorro county;

to the interstate stream commission

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to construct the Socorro flood control protection project in Socorro county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

forty thousand dollars ($40,000) to continue renovating the Clark field site and the Finley gymnasium to add a skate park facility, snack bar site and performance area in Socorro in Socorro county;

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to construct an animal control facility in Socorro in Socorro county; and

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to purchase equipment for a 911 system for the Socorro police department in Socorro county.
