STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE ROSWELL CAMPUS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY IN CHAVES COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the commission on higher education

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to purchase and install equipment

for the instructional television classroom and other telecommunication expenses related to statewide distance education at the Roswell campus at eastern New Mexico university in Chaves county; and

to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university

two hundred four thousand dollars ($204,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a water testing facility to serve the southeastern area of New Mexico to be located at the Roswell campus of eastern New Mexico university in Chaves county; and

three hundred eight thousand dollars ($308,000) to renovate, equip and landscape a senior learning center at the Roswell campus of eastern New Mexico university in Chaves county.
