STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR SENATE DISTRICT 42 CAPITAL PROJECTS IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the commission on higher education

six hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($625,000) for infrastructure and deferred maintenance improvements at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university

four million dollars ($4,000,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a communications center at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

to the state highway and transportation department

three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for improvements to county road 3 in Roosevelt county; and

to the state department of public education

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for a community activity center in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county; and

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) for improvements to the high school performing arts center in the Portales municipal school district in Roosevelt county.
