SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 182

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR SENATE DISTRICT 42 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN HOBBS IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the department of environment

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to construct a new water well near the Del Norte pump station and install a booster pump system at the Hayden overhead tower to address fire flow and peak water demand requirements within the city of Hobbs in Lea county;

to the state highway and transportation department

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase slurry seal materials and to seal city streets in Hobbs in Lea county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to plan, design and construct a family aquatic facility and make improvements to the park on North Grimes street in Hobbs in Lea county.
