FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS AT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION STATEWIDE.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the commission on higher education

four million dollars ($4,000,000) to plan, design and construct a communications center at eastern New Mexico university in Portales in Roosevelt county;

six hundred thirty thousand dollars ($630,000) for third phase construction of the health care training facility of the instructional programs center at Luna vocational-technical institute in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;

three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) to renovate and expand the library and student center at San Juan college in Farmington in San Juan county;

two million dollars ($2,000,000) for phase 3 construction of the education center at the university of New Mexico Taos campus in Taos county;

one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to renovate the Martinez-Phelps Dodge building at western New Mexico university in Silver City in Grant county;

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to construct the addition of the Ben Alexander learning center at New Mexico junior college in Hobbs in Lea county;

three million dollars ($3,000,000) for phase 2 construction of the East Mesa center at New Mexico state university in Las Cruces in Dona Ana county;

one million five hundred ten thousand dollars ($1,510,000) to install equipment at the manufacturing training and technology center cleanroom at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to plan, design and construct a high technology manufacturing and training facility at northern New Mexico state school in Espanola in Rio Arriba county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan the construction of the health sciences center education building at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

two million dollars ($2,000,000) to purchase and install patient care equipment at the health sciences center at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to develop an institutional master plan at Mesa technical college in Tucumcari in Quay county;

one million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) for a border area satellite at New Mexico state university in Dona Ana county;

four million dollars ($4,000,000) to plan, design and construct a science and technology building at New Mexico highlands university in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan an off-site compact storage facility for the library at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan the renovation of and addition to the KNME building at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

one million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) to plan, design and construct a student services building at New Mexico institute of mining and technology in Socorro in Socorro county; and

one million dollars ($1,000,000) for phase 1 construction of the instructional facility at the university of New Mexico Valencia campus in Los Lunas in Valencia county.
