45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN ARTESIA IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan, design and construct a senior center in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the department of environment

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant in Artesia in Eddy county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) for the train depot visitors' center in Artesia in Eddy county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a skate park in Artesia in Eddy county;

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to plan, design and construct an office and shop building, to grade and landscape and to install a sprinkler system at the Woodbine cemetery in Artesia in Eddy county;

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) for phase 3 of the Artesia head start center in Artesia in Eddy county; and

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for phase 2 of the Artesia mainstreet project in Artesia in Eddy county; and

to the state department of public education

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for playground equipment at Yucca elementary school in the Artesia public school district in Artesia in Eddy county.
