HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 240

45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state highway and transportation department

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to resurface South Florida avenue from First street to Panorama boulevard in Alamogordo in Otero county;

one hundred thirty thousand dollars ($130,000) to install a three-way stoplight at the intersection of First street and Cuba avenue in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to construct a connection from the south scenic rail crossing to United States highway 54 in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to purchase and install a new cover for the public swimming pool at the family recreation center in Alamogordo in Otero county;

two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to construct new public restrooms and upgrade existing public restrooms, including compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, for the parks system in Alamogordo in Otero county; and

one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) to replace the lights at the old baseball fields at the Hooser complex in Alamogordo in Otero county.
