45TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 2001

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HOBBS IN LEA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the department of environment

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to provide a new water well near the Del Norte pump station and a booster pump system at the Harden overhead tower for fire flow and peak water demand requirements in Hobbs in Lea county, contingent on a fifty percent match from the city;

to the state highway and transportation department

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to provide slurry materials for sealing city streets in Hobbs in Lea county, contingent on a fifty percent match from the city; and

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to make improvements to a new eighty-acre park, including construction of a family aquatic facility, in Hobbs in Lea county, contingent on an equal match from the city.
