SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number __1____ to SENATE BILL 739

Amendment sponsored by Senator Rod Adair

1. On page 3, line 23, after "in" strike "any" and insert in lieu thereof a colon and:

"(a) a".

2. On page 4, line 3, strike "or" and insert in lieu thereof:

"(b) a class B county with a population of more than fifteen thousand but less than eighteen thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census; or

(c) a class B county with a population of more than forty-two thousand but less than forty-five thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census; or".

3. On page 5, line 8, after "in" insert a colon and the subparagraph designation "(a)".

4. On page 5, line 12, strike the period and closing quotation mark, insert in lieu thereof a semicolon and the following new subparagraphs:

"(b) a class B county with a population of more than fifteen thousand but less than eighteen thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census; or

(c) a class B county with a population of more than forty-two thousand but less than forty-five thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census."".

5. On page 7, line 18, after "in" insert a colon and the subparagraph designation "(a)".

6. On page 7, line 23, strike "or" and insert in lieu thereof:

"(b) a class B county with a population of more than fifteen thousand but less than eighteen thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census; or

(c) a class B county with a population of more than forty-two thousand but less than forty-five thousand according to the 1990 federal decennial census; or".
