AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE THE RIO GRANDE EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATIVE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to continue the Rio Grande educational collaborative in cooperation with the university of New Mexico to support Rio Grande high school cluster students with mentorship and student leadership programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
