MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION FOR PROMOTION, MARKETING, MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF A MARKET CENTER IN THE CITY OF SOCORRO WHERE THE PEOPLE OF THE ALAMO CHAPTER OF THE NAVAJO NATION CAN MARKET CRAFTS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT NAVAJO TRADITIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide for the promotion, marketing, management and development of a market center in the city of Socorro where the people of the Alamo chapter of the Navajo Nation can market crafts and educate the public about Navajo traditions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
