AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE WORK ON ESTABLISHING THE WATERS DATABASE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million twenty-two thousand eight hundred dollars ($2,022,800) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to continue work on establishing the WATERS database by abstracting and imaging information contained in paper files. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
