AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FAMILY HEALTH EDUCATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of educating low-income families on traditional family health care techniques, nutrition, home first aid and how to obtain necessary health care services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
