AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR BOSQUE FIRE PREVENTION IN THE MIDDLE RIO GRANDE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for bosque fire prevention by removal of excess fuels from the middle Rio Grande bosque within the middle Rio Grande conservancy district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
