AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAMS NOT PROVIDED BY MEDICAID.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. One million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) is appropriated from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

(1) seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) to the children, youth and families department to contract for services and programs not provided under medicaid, including intensive outpatient programs, school-based services, outpatient clinics, wrap-around services, mobile crisis teams, early childhood family-based prevention, crisis stabilization, transitional living, transportation and prevention services; and

(2) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to the department of health to contract for services and programs not covered by medicaid, including intensive outpatient programs, outpatient clinics, wrap-around services, mobile crisis teams, crisis stabilization, transitional living, transportation, prevention services and consumer-driven services.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
