HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number __1____ to HOUSE BILL 996

1. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike "PERSONS COVERED BY THE CERRO GRANDE FIRE ASSISTANCE ACT" and insert in lieu thereof "CERTAIN PERSONS AFFECTED BY A PRESIDENTIAL DISASTER DECLARATION".

2. On page 1, line 22, after "return" insert "for the 2000 taxable year".

3. On page 1, line 25, after "persons" strike the remainder of the line and on page 2, strike line 1 and insert in lieu thereof "affected by the presidential disaster declaration of May 13, 2000.".
