AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS IN TOHATCHI AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-two thousand dollars ($42,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for community-based youth leadership programs in Tohatchi and surrounding communities to serve as models for youth empowerment and leadership for rural communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
